In accordance to the article about maintaining order in the ICT infrastructure problems we would like to take the topic of organizing cabling further. We are going to present specific phases of the process related to the organizing of the cabling - on the example services provided by Our company.
Our offer
As part of our works we often perform complex services of organizing the structured cabling and powerr suplly networks. Our offer applies to every part of the ICT infrastructure (server rooms, cable trays, distribution nodes, endpoints). Every job related to the organizing is performed in few specific phases.
On-the-spot checkup
During the on-the-spot checkup we verify the actual state of the infrastructure and decide what is the range of the necessary works. Data collected in this process allows us to prepare individual offer for sorting out the cables. On-the-spot checkup is completely off charge.
ICT infrastructure audit
After acceptation of the our offer we begin our works immediately. The basis of the every given task is the execution of a detailed ICT infrastructure audit. The purposes of this part of our job are: to develop detailed stocktaking of each element of the ICT infrastructure, to carry out testing and measurement of the structured cabling. As a result of the audit we can provide comprehensive report of the actual state of the IT network, including:
- deployment of the outlets
- deployment of the distribution points
- network topology
- test results and measurements of the specific parameters of each of the network elements
Design
Depending on the acquired data we are able to analyze current state of the ICT infrastrucure. Then our designers work out on the functional infrastructure draft. Finally the new concept of the ICT network is determined on the assumptions of simultaneous ergonomics and aesthetics.
Organizing works
When the documentation is ready we can start our organizing tasks. We perform our works on the basis of the schedule, which is prepared individually and with the clients supervision. We prepare as-built documentation after the job is finished.
The duration of the works related to the audit, design and organizing is determined during the on-the-spot checkup. It is dependent on the size of the installation and also on the level of disorganization. In order to minimize any difficulties we can work during the night hours and on the weekdays.
